Who is Indiana Safety and Health?

Indiana Safety and Health is an organization that provides training in first aid, CPR, bloodborne pathogens and other OSHA compliant classes. We our committed to providing the best training possible. We continuously update our materials and make sure our instructors have the experience and knowledge to pass on to the classroom setting! Our instructors have over 28 years of emergency and teaching experience. The company's primary focus is training individuals and organizations collectively in First Aid and CPR. We provide all student materials, manikins and train at your site around your hours.

How long are the certification cards good for?

CPR cards can be good for up to two years. However some state licensing agencies will only accept one year cards. For example, if you're a daycare provider our CPR cards are only good for one year due to state requirements. However, if you're general construction then our CPR cards are good for two years. First Aid is good for three years.

What times can you come out to do our training?

We can come out day or night, week or weekend. Usually we like to have a two weeks notice, but we can come out on a shorter notice depending on availability. Remember there is a 5 person minimum during the week and a 10 person minimum on the weekends. You can come to us too! Click on class schedule to see the list of dates.

Is there a maximum class size?

No, we have the capability to teach very large groups. However, please schedule these classes in advance

What are your general prices for training?

If we come to you our prices are: CPR = $40 (Every extra class is an additional $10) For example: CPR & First Aid = $50 CPR, First Aid, & BBP = $60 If you come to us it is a flat fee of $50 for all classes.

Can you tell me about your open classes?

Class Prices are $40. You can take 1 class or all 3 for the same price depending on your needs. $40 pays for the day. The $50 class fee is non-refundable if the student cancels or shows up late. Classes start promptly and late arrivals are not allowed after a certain time. We cannot be responsible for weather conditions, traffic congestion, or unclear map directions. We ask that no children be allowed into class for the learning environment of all participants. The CPR class includes Adult/Child/Infant CPR. The BBP class is also known as Universal Precautions class. This class is not the Healthcare Provider class (that would typically be taken by Doctor's, RN's, Paramedics, or Lifeguards - For that class please contact us directly). Registration is still available in all classes unless noted on schedule.

How do I register for an open class?

Click on "CLASS SCHEDULE". You can pay online or call 317-339-1141 or 317-339-9245 to pay over the phone for a class.

How do I pay for a class if you come to my site?

You can pay with cash, money order, a company check, or a credit card.

Does the CPR include the Heimlich maneuver to meet teacher qualifications?

Yes! We meet state licensing requirements for teachers.

I lost my card, what do I do now?

You can pay for a replacement card on our website, or call and pay over the phone for a replacement card. The replacement card fee is $10 and includes standard shipping.

Can I bring children to the class?

Sorry, not in our open classes. This is to maintain the learning environment of all participants.

How old does one have to be to attend the classes as a student?

This depends on maturity level of the student. Also the student must be able to participate in the practical and written part of the test. We have trained children as young as 12 in the past.

Why should I choose Indiana Safety and Health for my training?

All of our Primary Instructors are Firefighters/EMT's or Paramedics. Would you take flight lessons from someone that has never flown before?
